ČED+ 2011
It was very exciting and amazing experience. The first two days we spent in Paris. Our topic was unemployment, so we visited some organisations like SOS Racism or organisation for women’s rights. On Monday evening we arrived in Montaigu and went to our host families. In the Montaigu area we did a lot of things, for example we visited a restaurant where disabled people work or a company which produces lifts. My host family was so perfect that I could feel like at home. At my free time I had fun with my three host brothers. I really liked doing things together with other foreign students. There was not any time to be bored. We played drama, sang songs and made final presentations about our topics.

After landing in Paris it was great to experience 20°C. Then we went by bus to our hotel in the centre of Paris. After the check-in we met students from Denmark, England and France. Next day we went to Paris to do some sightseeing. We saw for example Eiffel tower, Sacré Coeur, Moulin rouge, etc. I think that Paris is a wonderful city. Now I also know something more about the topics of unemployment, work and globalization and ethnic minorities. Some of the lectures were more interesting than others. Well, I really enjoyed the week I spent in France!

Our group spent a week in France. From Saturday to Monday we stayed in Paris. We saw many presentations. The most important and the most interesting presentation for me was about ethnic minorities and violence against women. Then we spent the end of the week in Montaigu in our new families. Many presentations, travelling, theatre plays, singing and foreign languages diversified our stay in France.

This week was pretty amazing. There weren’t any problems with people or with organisations. Everyone was so kind and friendly and we were the best group in the world :o) Presentations were really cool and we got lots of new knowledge. We made many new friends and we could try how good we were at English. All days were difficult and long, but we managed to go through. The last day was really cool and funny, maybe a little sad too, because we had to say good bye to our new friends. I hope I’ll see everyone once again in the future.

I met a lot of new people willing to participate in many interesting activities, such as drama or singing. My host family was very kind, everyone was friendly. All visits were interesting. The only thing I didn’t like was travelling, but I know it’s necessary. All in all, I’d say it was good experience.
